Come see what’s New

Just want to reach out to all of you who support me and follow what we do over here at – THANK YOU SO MUCH! Your positive words of encouragement and testimonies serve as a reminder to me that I am headed in the right direction by doing what God would have me to do in this season.  I want to tell you about some of the new things we have going on.

If you haven’t lately, please browse the website and check out what’s new.  I recently added a ‘Job Search’ page because in my quest to reach out and help, I came across so many people who were looking for jobs.  I figured why not help them all from one central location. That being said, if you or someone you know is looking for employment have them to check out

Business Connects’ is dedicated specifically to small businesses and non-profit organizations that are doing great things in the community. Periodically, I do feature articles for businesses to show support and help gain exposure. If you or someone you know owns a small businesses that motivates, encourages or inspires people in some way please have them contact me at

Check out all the Videos we’ve made and Events coming up.  The newest page ‘Book Orders’ allows you to get your own personalized copy of Let’s Talk Life: A New Perspective shipped directly to you. I am really excited about this new page because there have been several requests to get books signed and this will allow me to do that.

So, as you can see there’s lots going on.  Take a look for yourself and leave comments to let me know what you think. Share with others. It’s time to fight against all the negativity. Make a decision to be positive.  Be inspired.  Spread love and walk in the light that has been placed on the inside of you.

Thanks again for all the support and encouragement.  Love you.  God Bless you all.

“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you”. (1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV)

“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lamp stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:13-16 NKJV)

The Caring Place

One of the most important keys to living life to the fullest is having the ability to give back to those in need. It’s sad to say, but it seems like lately the people who have the least are the ones who are more inclined to share and give to others. People who have more want to keep getting more, sometimes even if it means taking it from someone else. Such sad times, but I am here to say there is hope. There are people and places that still have hearts for others. Today I’d like to highlight one of those places.

Junction City Caring Place (JCCP) is a non-profit organization established in 2004, located at 1013 B W 8th Street in Junction City, Kansas. The Caring Place is a faith-based central resource center in Junction City, Kansas and its surrounding areas with FREE food, clothing, counseling and basic medical care. When I learned about JCCP, I knew immediately that I needed to be connected. The fact that people only have to show their ID to receive the free services offered by the Junction City Caring Place is amazing because most other organizations that provide free services require government documentation verifying the need for assistance.

The Junction City Caring Place has been an inspirational and motivating factor because of the results and the impact it has made in the community from when they first opened the doors back in 2004 to its position in the community currently in 2014. This organization has given support to over thousands of family in Junction City and the surrounding communities. Being faith-based gives the community a different perspective of the love of God through his giving help to one another during the difficult times in life.

The Caring Place is also looking to start offering free computer classes; basic computer skills, resume building and internet skills to those who might be interested.

Hours of Operation for the JCCP is Monday and Wednesday 10:00am -2:00pm (Clothing Only) Tuesday 10:00am -1:00pm (Food Only) Saturday 10:00am -12:30pm (Medical by Appointment and Clothing)

Junction City Caring Place is always in need of volunteers, food and clothing donations. Monetary donations are also accepted and greatly appreciated.

Sweet Treats from the Heart

Do you have a set schedule? A list of activities that you do on a regular basis, such as work, school, errands, etc? Is there something on that list that is for you? Something that you do to help get your mind off of your regular mundane day-to-day activities. It is important that you have this place of escape not only to keep you sane, but also to maintain balance. This is why I support Renae’s Cake Revelation.

Owner Renae McFadden, who is also an active duty combat war veteran, started Renae’s Cake Revelation. Baking was something she always loved to do because it gave her an escape and sense of peace from everything going on around her. It wasn’t until a little over 3 years ago that she really took her baking seriously and decided to share this wonderful gift that God has given her with other people. When asked how what she does motivates, inspires or encourages other people her response was, “Baking cakes is something I am very passionate about. Sometimes I do find it challenging because I work a full-time job but I don’t think God would bless me with a talent and not expect me to share it. I taught myself to decorate cakes by watching videos and trial and error. I recently completed my very first cake decorating class. I would have never dreamed that I would actually be baking cakes for birthdays and special occasions for others.”

It is an amazing thing when your passion turns into an opportunity then that opportunity turns into success. God is just amazing like that. He has placed so many gifts and talents on the inside of us, but He’s waiting on us to step out on faith and share those gifts with the world. Even if you are a bit apprehensive at first, Renae’s Cake Revelation is proof that you can be successful. Follow your dreams, you never know where they may take you.  Her hard work, dedication, commitment and trust in God is what has made Renae as successful as she is. She recently relocated to Junction City, KS by way of the military and her business is already growing tremendously. She is gaining new clients on a regular basis and was recently a featured vendor at the Junction City Juneteenth Celebration. She also gives back to the community once a month by donating a custom cake to a family in need.

If you would like to see more of the awesome cakes and cupcakes by Renae’s Cake Revelation, check out her Facebook page – She can also be reached via email at

I support Renae’s Cake Revelation and I encourage you to do the same. I don’t know about you, but I love a good dessert. I’ve had both the cakes and cupcakes from Renae’s Cake Revelation and trust me when I say, they are yummy. Still not convinced, she can also provide samples so you can try it yourself. If you’re in the Junction City area, and need a cake or cupcakes made that are not only cute but taste delicious, Renae’s Cake Revelation is the way to go. Sweet treats made from the heart. Bon Appetit!
