Just want to reach out to all of you who support me and follow what we do over here at letstalkaboutlife365.com – THANK YOU SO MUCH! Your positive words of encouragement and testimonies serve as a reminder to me that I am headed in the right direction by doing what God would have me to do in this season.  I want to tell you about some of the new things we have going on.

If you haven’t lately, please browse the website and check out what’s new.  I recently added a ‘Job Search’ page because in my quest to reach out and help, I came across so many people who were looking for jobs.  I figured why not help them all from one central location. ‘Business Connects’ is dedicated specifically to small businesses and non-profit organizations that are doing great things in the community. Periodically, I do feature articles for businesses to show support and help gain exposure. When I was younger, two of the first Bible scriptures I remember learning and actually memorizing was Proverbs chapter 3 verses 5 and 6. ‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.’ For some reason these scriptures just resonated in my heart as a child and they still do to this day. It reminds me that no matter what, I am to trust God at all times and most importantly stop trying to figure everything out. I have to be honest, me not trying to figure stuff out is a battle I deal with on a daily basis. I am bothered when I do not know something or when things do not go as I expect them to. Hence the reason we are to take comfort in the scriptures and lean not on our own understanding. At the end of the day, I have come to realize that some things I will never understand, but that must never affect my trust in God. Instead, I am learning to use one of the most powerful tools that God has given all of us. I am learning to pray more and more. The more you pray, the stronger you become. The less you depend on self and realize where your strength comes from, the easier it will be for you to trust Him completely.

While in my prayer/study time the other day God gave me a huge revelation that I want to share with you. He said, “I need you to trust me, so I can trust you”. That moment was life changing for me. God needs you and me to trust Him in every area of our life, stop trying to figure it out, lean not on your own understanding. In doing so, He will then be able to trust you. Are you still waiting on your financial break through? Are you still anticipating a promotion on your job? Are you still hoping for a new business? If you answered yes to any of these questions, I have one more for you. Can God trust you? Make a decision today.  Decide to fully and truly trust God with all areas of your life; finances, children, health, employment, family, school, etc…then yes He will be able to trust you because He knows that no matter what, you are not going to lean on your own understanding, instead you are going to acknowledge Him in everything so He can direct your paths.

The God that we serve is a BIG God. He’s a merciful God. He’s a gracious God. He’s a giving God. His love is perfect. He wants to see you succeed. He wants you to own your own business. He wants you to write a book. He wants you to graduate from college. He wants your body healed. Most of all, He wants you to trust Him so He can trust you.

Have you ever tried to talk to someone and for some reason or another they just didn’t get it? No matter how you tried to explain things or ‘break it down’ to their level it would not sink in. Then you decided to actually show them instead, thinking maybe if they see it they will finally understand and they do. What I am getting at here is that people are more likely to do something if you show them instead of tell them. There comes a time when your actions have to be about business so much so that you won’t have to ever say a word.

April 20, 2014 people all over the world celebrated something that embodies just that, Resurrection Sunday. Also known as Easter. We celebrated the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus walked among many people on this earth and told great stories and examples of how we are to live. In fact, the oracles of God are depicted throughout several books of the bible. And if His words weren’t powerful enough, He took it to the next step by putting those words into action by dying on the cross. When Jesus died on the cross every situation, every infirmity, every financial burden, every sickness, every disease or anything else you could possibly think of died with Him. Beautiful thing is however, is that’s not how His story ends. He died but three days later rose with ALL power.

Even more important is why He did it, simply put…because He loves you. He loves you so much that He knew simply telling you would not be enough. He had to show you by sacrificing himself. Can you say you’d be willing to do the same thing? I know I wouldn’t and I consider myself to be a pretty loving person.

In spite of what they have heard or even see for themselves, there are many people who rejected Jesus back then and still do today. If you are one of those people, I challenge you to make a decision today to take action and change. Change your perception and your mindset of the one who died to set you free. And who did so knowing that you would one day reject Him. Take action and decide to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Decide to live for Him, if for no other reason than because He died for you.
