Don’t Stop Believing!

Finding purpose in life can sometimes take a while but once you do, things seem to be so much more purposeful. When you figure out what you are supposed to be doing, it gives you an opportunity to have clear and succinct goals and the more beautiful thing about it is that it gives you something to believe in.  Now you can have dreams and a vision for your life.  Today I want to encourage you to believe.

The same time you find your purpose and set goals for yourself, you better believe the enemy is ready to do everything he can to shut you down and prevent you from being successful.  That’s his job, so expect it.  But instead of allowing his tactics to prevent you from being triumphant, reverse things up a little and use it as fuel to ignite a fire inside of you that will thrust you towards what you believe in.

When the enemy comes to attack let it be a sense of confirmation so you know that you are headed in the right direction.  This is the point of view I try to take when dealing with the journey of life.  It can hurt at first, mostly because it catches you off guard but once you fully dissect the situation for what it is, you will quickly find the root of the issue.  You see, satan already knows the wonderful and great things that God created you for.  He is going to do everything in his power to stop that from happening.  It’s up to you however, to not let him.  You have to make up in your mind that come hell or high water, you are not going to allow the enemy to defeat you.

So I end with these final thoughts.  God uses people and so does the devil.  Never let someone who gave up on their dreams talk you out of going after yours.  Never let negative comments or quick judgments discourage you.  Things may get tough and at times may be a bit crazy but stay committed.  Matter fact, before you even get started make a covenant with God that as long as He sustains you will be committed to Him in whatever it is He has for you to do.  Don’t expect to do it on your own.  You will need the strength of God to endure, I promise you.  Hang in there, keep the faith and most importantly never stop believing.  You got this, cause God’s got you! #iDeclare #DontStopBelieving

Prayer:

Father God in the name of Jesus, thank you for the deams and vision you have given me for my life.  Help me Lord to fulfill these things, for I can do nothing without you.  I decree and declare in the name of Jesus that I will never give up.  I will not quit and I most certainly will not stop believing.  In Jesus Name, Amen.

Philippians 4:12-13 NASB “I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me…”

We Must Stick Together!!!

letstalkaboutlife365.com(together)

There is power in agreement.  What I mean by that is not people agreeing with you per se, but people being able to stand with you at all times.  People who stick with you through thick and thin, good or bad and who won’t betray you or judge you.  I really wish individuals would realize this and be more selfless, thinking of themselves less and others more.  One of the best and simplest way to determine who’s who and what’s what as it relates to your relationship with others, learn from their actions.  When people show you who they are, believe them.  Don’t base your relationship with others upon words.  Let it be the action that comes behind those words that determines whether or not they deserve a role in your life.  When you find somebody good, stick with them.

The bible speaks of the power that comes when people of faith can get together on one accord.  I’ve been a loner for majority of my life, but as I’ve grown wiser I have also come to understand the power that comes with agreement.  The power behind having people who you can talk with, pray with, and just be yourself.  These are those divine connections I was talking about the other day.  Some of these people may be family and some may be friends.  Whatever title they have in your life, they make you a better you.  When you are sad and going through or finding it hard to have faith in a storm, you can connect to those people and they will have faith for you to help you get through.  Then when you bounce back, they may need to rely on your faith to get through their hard time.  This is what I mean by sticking together and the power that comes with it.  The enemy would have us to be isolated, especially from other believers because we tend to be weaker in our struggles when we are alone.  When we are connected to people who can help lift us up those sad days are shortened.  Which then enables us to shut down the enemy and focus more on fulfilling the plans and purposes that God has for our life.

Yeah it may be hard to let people in your life, especially after being hurt but I am here to tell you that once you have the right folks around you will be so much stronger.  Think about it, even Jesus had a small group of select individuals that He stuck with.  All of which played a vital role in His life here on earth.  The body of Christ must learn to stick together no matter what.  You may not get along with everyone, but with the help of God you will find a select few who when yall come together there will be so much power in your union.  Remember, one can chase one thousand but two can chase ten thousand.  By staying connected, you are more effective.  There is only so much you can do by yourself.  Besides, God never intended for you to take the journey of life all alone anyway.  #iDeclare #WeMustStickTogether

Prayer:

Father God in the name of Jesus, I ask that you would connect me with the right people.  I understand the importance of sticking together, so please Lord help me to know who I should be sticking with.  I decree and declare that I will not allow my past hurt or pain in relationships to prevent me from linking up with the right people who will help strengthen my walk with Christ.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Deuteronomy 32:20 KJV “How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up?”

Matthew 18:19 NIV “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.”

If You Made It, They Can Too!

If You made it, they can too!

Do not ever be ashamed of who you are, where you are from or what you have been through.  Everybody has a story, and that story is what makes each person unique and an individual.  Sometimes we may feel as though we do not want to share our story, not realizing that your story could help someone else.  In all honesty, what you went through in life is for someone else.  The storms in life, trials and tribulations we face are only temporary.  Once they are over we move forward and by sharing we help someone else move forward.

The bible declares that we overcome by the blood and of the lamb and the word of our testimony.  This means that if we are to truly be victorious and overcome the troubles of life, we have to share our testimony with others.  I believe that God showed me this a while ago when I was at a very dark place in life.  It seemed as though hardship and suffering lived on my doorstep and I really did not know how I was going to make it through. It was by the grace of God that I did.  Surprisingly to me however, when I did almost immediately He began to send people to me that were going through the same things I had been through.  People I didn’t even really know very well or who I had only spoken with maybe once or twice, basically complete strangers.  They would always say that for some reason they felt compelled to talk to me.  This is when I knew that what I had been through was not just for me.  The pain and hurt that I endured was a tool He wanted me to use for ministry.  Who better to encourage than people who I could relate to?  People who I understood their story, because it was so similar to mine.  I quickly learned that when dealt with the right way, in the end these encounters were for my good but more so for His glory.

Another side of this issue is that far too many people expend tremendous energy to hide their pain, health problems or troubles just to function in this world.  Why this is so, I don’t know.  In my opinion, either they are ashamed or don’t feel strong enough to be honest or maybe a little or both.  Bottom line, you simply never know what someone is going through.  Some people wear their hard times on their shoulders and want to complain and tell the whole world about it, but a lot of people do not.  Think about this the next time you are ready to laugh or point the finger at someone.  Instead, make a decision to be kind cause truth be told we are all fighting some kind of battle.

The highs and lows, ups and downs should all be considered a beautiful thing.  Life may not be perfect, but it is beautiful.  Life is not fair, but God is.  A lot of people say they want to be used by God, and here is a perfect way to do so.  The next time someone comes to you broken, be the glue to help them get it back together by being transparent and showing compassion.  Often we are quick to share the good, now let’s really make the devil mad and flip the script a little.  As you encourage people, let them know that if you made it, they can too. #iDeclare #IfYouMadeItTheyCanToo

Prayer:

Father God in the name of Jesus, I thank you for my story.  Although there are times when I did not understand nor enjoy what I had to endure, I now understand that it was all for my good and for your glory.  I decree and declare that I will use my life as a ministry to help uplift the Kingdom of God.  I will not be ashamed of who I am, where I am from or what I have been through.  In Jesus name, Amen.
