Better Days Are Ahead

Today I want to take a little time to speak words of encouragement to you.  At times, life can bring many circumstances that make you feel as though you literally have the weight of the world on your shoulders.  Other times you feel as though you are so happy you could just burst with joy.  I don’t know where you are or what you are going through right now (good or bad), but I am here to tell you that better days are ahead.  You will not always be in this same place.  Just like this beautiful earth that God created, we all go through different seasons in life.  And the good news is, seasons change.  Some stick around a little longer than others, but eventually they do change.  Growing up in Florida, everyone used to say we only get one season the entire year.  Yes, it is hot in Florida but we get more than one season throughout the year.  The summer season just lasts a lot longer there.  In Germany however, it is quite different.  The winter season seems to last a lot longer.  Such is life.  One thing I will say is that no matter what season you are in, it is important to not become so consumed in the burdens or the blessings that the spotlight is more on them and not on HIM.  Better days are ahead, but we must keep the right perspective and not allow anything to become more important than God.

Good, bad or indifferent, the season you are in now is ordained by God so you should be talking to Him and seeing what it is He wants you to get out of it.  What is His will?  What is His plan for you at this moment in time?  You cannot move forward with the next chapter in your life, the next season of your life if you keep re-reading the last one.  God has something better in store waiting for you around the corner, you just have to get in line to receive it.  If you are in a good season of your life, it is still time to move forward.  Just because something good ends, does not mean that something better won’t begin.  So my brothers and sisters in Christ, be encouraged.  Nothing lasts forever.  Live each season as if it were your last.  Put yourself to the side.  Trust God like never before, lean and depend on Him at all times.  A wonderful concept to always be mindful of is that your present situation is not your final destination, the best is yet to come.  I am certain that no matter where you may be in life, some of the best days of our life have not even happened yet.  Isn’t that such an amazing feeling?  #iDeclare #betterdaysareahead

Prayer:

Father God in the name of Jesus, I come to say thank you.  Thank you Jesus that no matter what season I am in my life I know that you are with me.  Please God help me to be in tune with your perfect will and plan for me at all times.  I decree and declare that better days are ahead of me.  I will move forward in life and will not continue to keep re-reading past chapters.  I cancel the assignment of the enemy to haunt me over my past in Jesus Name.  I believe with my whole heart that the best is yet to come.  Thank you Jesus. In Jesus name, Amen.

Know Your Worth!!!

letstalkaboutlife365.com(royalty)

Do you know just how precious you are?  Do you know how valuable you are?  If you had to give a dollar amount to how much you are worth, could you do it?  I started off asking these questions because so many people do not know the answer.  Why is that?  If you don’t know your own worth and value, then don’t expect someone else to calculate it for you.  I am here today to tell you that you should always know your worth.  The key to truly living life to the fullest is coming into the knowledge of understanding how valuable you are.  Think for a moment about this, if you were a prince or princess (such as Prince Harry or his mom Princess Diana).  How would the way you live your life be different?  You would probably walk around with your head a little bit higher.  You would have a bit more self-confidence. And I’m sure there are certain things you wouldn’t stand for or allow to happen to you or around you.  Now, what if I told you that you are royalty.  As a child of the most High God, you are a royal priesthood because your Heavenly Father is the King of Kings.  Your worth comes from God, so to answer the questions I started off with would mean that you are priceless.   That’s right, priceless.  There is no amount of money or things that could ever be sufficient to describe your value.  And to top that off, no matter what has happened in your past or present and whatever happens in your future, you will never lose your value.  Isn’t that amazing.  God is not like man that He should lie, so if He said it in His word than that settles it.  No going back.  Now that you have this piece of inside information, I want you to act like it.

Surround yourself with people who know your worth.  I remember something my pastor once said that really touched on a situation I had been dealing with.  She said we should be around people who are concerned with our soul.  It seems like that is common sense and something I can say I already knew but when she said it, it’s like a light bulb just went off in my head.  If the people who are around you are not concerned about you mind, body and spirit then you don’t want to be connected to them.  Sometimes it can be hard to tell who these people are.  Pray and ask God to help you discern who is for you all the way around, and He will reveal those individuals.  If you’re anything like me, it really doesn’t take being around a lot of people to make me happy.  I enjoy it more when there are only a few real folks around me who can appreciate me for exactly who I am.

Please let this article serve as a reminder.  A lot of times we say we know our worth and “act” strong, then as soon as the enemy sends someone to tear us down we allow them to do just that.  When you know your worth, no one can come along and try to make you feel worthless.  Remember, your value does not decrease based on someone else’s inability to see your worth.  Your worth is determined by God.  He has the final say and He has already declared in His word who you are to Him and that’s really all that matters.  #iDeclare #knowyourworth

Prayer:

Father God, in the name of Jesus.  I thank you for teaching me who I am according to Your word.  Please God help me to know my worth.  I decree and declare that I am a royal priesthood.  I am royalty and I will operate as such every day of my life.  I will not allow the enemy to come and make me forget or doubt who I am in Christ Jesus.  Thank you Jesus for connecting me with people who are concerned about me as a whole, mind body and spirit.  Please help me to discern who is not, so I can remove them from my life.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Humility

Humility

What does it mean to be humble?  This is a word I have read a lot about, mostly in the bible and I have come to learn that humility is not something that comes natural.  It is something we should desire, just like wisdom but not something we are expected to know on our own.  The reason I say this is because so often we are taught differently.  Women are taught to be independent and know how to take care of themselves.  Men are taught to be the breadwinner and provide for his family.  Having or showing a modest or low estimate of one’s own importance is a direct contradiction to what has just been described.  Or is it?  Do you believe it is possible to be humble, yet still take care of business at the same time?  People who aren’t humble are prideful.  Pride in my opinion is another form of insecurity.  It’s a mask people tend to hide behind when they can’t handle their reality or as I like to call it, the truth.  They are constantly talking about themselves, bragging and often considered to be conceited and stuck-up.  I’ve been around people who are like this and in spite of all they have accomplished, their personality seems to make me think very little of them.  I am a person who feels like your deeds and actions should speak for themselves.  You should not think it is necessary to tell people your list of accomplishments when they first meet you.  I applaud hard work and strongly believe that it will be rewarded in the end, but let your reward speak for you.  Once you talk about it all the time and feel the need to tell everyone, I begin to question your motive behind it all in the first place.  Were you only doing it so you would have something to boast about?  If that’s the case, all of what you are talking about will be very short-lived.

To be humble is something that requires effort.  You have to make a decision to not get the “big head”.  Decide that you will work hard, you will succeed, but you will never forget where you came from.  I always say no matter what new endeavor you pursue, never despise small beginnings. If you start small, it will be a constant reminder of where you came from and how far this journey has brought you.  Not only that, it will show you just how far you can still go.  When you are humble, you have an innate ability to always strive for greatness, which leads me to believe that continued success is inevitable.

The true and undying power of mankind, that’s you and me, is found in submission.  Submission to who you might ask?  Submission to God.  No matter what your social status, pay grade, or job title you must always be willing to submit yourself to the will of God for your life.  You should wake up every morning asking God what His will is.  Many times we tell God what we want to do and that is backwards.  Before Jesus went to the cross, He prayed and said not my will God but Your will be done.  He humbled Himself to the will of the Father for us.  In His short 33 years of walking this earth Jesus was the ultimate example of what it means to be humble.  Allow our Lord and Savior to be your guide as you live a life of humility.  Please do not misunderstand what I am saying.  I truly, truly, truly believe that hard work deserves acknowledgement but don’t do it for the acknowledgement.  Examine your motives.  Humility is not thinking less of yourself, but thinking of yourself less.  It is a character trait we must make a decision to have.    #iDeclare #humility

Heavenly Father, thank you God for this day.  Please God help me to be humble myself every day.  Forgive me for times when I have operated in a prideful spirit.  I decree and declare that humility will be a part of my character for the rest of my life.  My boast will be in Jesus Christ alone.  Thank you Jesus for being the ultimate example.  In Jesus name, Amen.
