Shift!

letstalkaboutlife365.com(shift)

Men and women all over the world, it’s time to shift.  Shift our mindset and shift the way we go about doing things.  As we know, the definition of being insane is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.  Have you been expecting or wanting some changes in your life?  If so, what are you doing?  If you’re merely sitting around waiting for things to just magically happen then guess what, you probably gone be sitting there for a while.  In order for change to come, a shift must take place.  Shift the way you think and I guarantee you shifting the way you do things will happen automatically.  I say that speaking from personal experience.  I had been in a situation that mentally I couldn’t find any good in, knowing that God put me there.  For the longest, I always talked about the spirit of expectation that I had being there because I knew that God sent me, yet my mindset was still extremely negative.  God could not do what He wanted to do with me until I shifted my way of thinking.  Immediately when I shifted my state of mind, the way I did things totally changed.  Shift!

I want to elaborate on our thoughts for just a moment.  Far to often we stay stuck on all the things we have done wrong in life.  Shift! We are all humans and we make mistakes.  A shift takes place when you are able to pick up the lessons learned from the previous chapter all while looking straight ahead and writing a new chapter in life.  Focus the majority of your energy and attention on what you have done right.  I’ll also add this, whatever you doing right, keep doing it.  Take it up a notch and make it a point to operate in excellence.  Shift!

A slight change in position, direction or tendency could be the very thing that God is waiting on.  If you have an expectancy of change, that’s something that God has placed on the inside of you.  He’s just waiting on you to get your mind right.  This requires you to do what? Shift! Alright, now I hope you got it.  So let’s go change some things up a bit. You got it.  How do I know? Cause God got you! #iDeclare #Shift!

Go For It!

What is it that motivates you to keep going?  To try something new?  I hate to say it, but the more I talk to other people, the more they seemed to be motivated by the wrong things.  Now and days celebrities; musicians, actors, talk show hosts, pretty much anyone who has a few dollars and is put in front of the camera has become the object of attention for most.  They look up to these people as if they make the world go around when in actuality a lot of the “celebrities” are just putting up a front while the camera is running anyway.  In other words, people admire something that is not really real.  They talk about Bentley’s and a few of them may even drive them, but you do not know what they had to go through to get that Bentley.

Instead of being motivated by what the world sees as being rich, why not change your perspective of what rich is.  Rich does not have to have anything to do with money.  Rich can mean happy, at peace, calm, stress free or worry free.  All of which if you ask the people who have a lot of money they don’t have any of these things.  See, it is very unfortunate because some people are so poor that all they have is money.

Stop looking at these people as motivation and look to God.  He is the billionaire of all billionaires.  He has all the money in the world, and He also has peace, joy, love, happiness and the list could go on and on.  He has everything because He is God.  We must stop looking to the things of the world to find what God has already placed inside of us.  Be motivated by the love He has for you, His child and the plans and purposes in which He created for your life.  It is so easy to be distracted by the things you see on T.V. or read about online, so stay focused.  Everyone who has ever been successful at anything had to get up, get out there and just do it.  They put on their pants one leg at a time just like you do.  So don’t think it strange or even impossible for you to do great things in life.  You are a child of the King and above all else, you have the favor of God on your life.  If you keep saying to yourself there is more to life than this, you are absolutely right.  There is a whole lot more to life than what you see in front of you.  Shut the T.V. off, get off Facebook, and go for it. I dare you.  #iDeclare #GoForIt

Commit To Being Committed

letstalkaboutlife365.com(committment)

Ever been around someone who every other week comes up with these “bright” ideas?  One week they are going to open a car wash, the next week they’re creating a new computer program, then the week after that they’re selling magazines.  Why don’t you make up your mind what you are going to do, then stick to it!  People like this bother me, not because they are always coming up with ways to make money, but because they are not committed.  What I mean is, if they would simply commit themselves to something, whatever something they choose they’d have a much better chance at succeeding instead of dibbling and dabbling in a little bit of this and a little bit of that.  I am all for being well-rounded, but perfect one thing at a time.  Besides, everything is not for you.  Know the areas you are gifted and talented in and stick to it.

Our society has become what I like to call a microwave society.  We want everything quick, fast and in a hurry and aren’t willing to do the work to make it happen.  There has to be a level of commitment in every area of our life.  To our family, our job, just our overall well-being.  Certain things are just not going to happen over night.  Our level of commitment has to be as such that no matter how long it takes, you are going to give it everything you have until it comes to pass.

We should first and foremost commit our ways to the Lord.  Let everything you do be in honor to God.  The bible declares that in all of our ways we are to acknowledge Him and by doing this, I wholeheartedly believe this will steer you in the right direction.  Now don’t get me wrong, being fully committed does have some challenges.  Life has struggles period, but when you are committed those struggles can at times be magnified because they take away from whatever it is you are trying to do.  Whether it is being committed in a relationship or being committed on your job, when life happens it really forces you do an assessment to determine if all your hard work is even worth it.  This is where allowing God to steer you in the right direction comes into the picture.  If you know that you are in the will of God, you will have a lot more peace about everything.  In moments such as these, I also want you to think about why you even started in the first place.  This is always the best motivating factor for me, because I know if I start something I am doing so for a reason.

Be mindful of what you commit yourself to.  Certain things are not worth your time.  God has a purpose and plan for all of His children.  We must not allow the enemy to come in and distract us or get us off course of what God has called us to do.  When you have a vision or dream about life, be sure that your vision surpasses your resources so that you can always live a life of faith.  Being committed requires a great deal of faith.  While you are busy doing the work, you really do not know what the end result will be.  You may have some idea of how you want it to turn out, but you really just never know.  There has to be some sort of deep-rooted faith inside of you that will give you the motivation you need to keep going.

Commitment is a sign of growth and maturity.  As mentioned earlier, if you want to be successful in life you have to be willing to commit yourself to something.  If you want to be a successful mother, you have to commit yourself to your family.  If you want to be a successful manager at work, you must commit yourself to learning the job.  True success requires true commitment.  Are you committed?  #iDeclare #CommitToBeingCommitted

Prayer:

Father God in the name of Jesus, I come humbly before you.  Thank you for teaching me about commitment.  I decree and declare from this day forward that I will be committed.  Not just to anything, but to those things that you require of me.  Help me to discern when distractions from the enemy come to get me off course.  In Jesus name, Amen.
