When you think about wisdom what is the first thing that comes to mind?  For me it’s usually an elderly person.  I know that not all elderly people are wise, but some are.  I also know you don’t have to be old to be wise.  Wisdom is a character trait we should all desire to have.  Wisdom about life as a whole.  What to do, when to do it, how to do it, etc.  Not saying that if you make some wrong decisions you won’t have wisdom, I’m saying that as you attain wisdom you will be better at making decisions.  Truthfully, speaking from experience, when you make choices that maybe aren’t so wise those are some of the best opportunities to learn.  Wisdom is truly a gift from God and the best way to get it is to ask.  That seems simple enough right?  Yet, how many people…

Just Speak Life

Make The Most of It

It is important we remember to make the most out of any and every situation we are faced with. Acknowledge the bad, but do not allow it to consume you. Spend more time focusing on the good and do whatever it takes so you can continue to move forward! Life is a journey, but there is no journey if you are standing still. The definition of journey is going from one place to another. Therefore, in order to have a journey, you must be moving. Why not make the most of it along the way?

Lately, I’ve been thinking about how our environment can effect our state of mind.  I was thinking of this because I was reminiscing on how it was when I first moved to Germany.  Coming from Atlanta, Georgia, this moved literally flipped my world upside down.  I absolutely despised it when I got here.  I did not want to come in the first place because I had never been so far away from my family.  Then when I got here the weather was cold, we are in a small country area where there really isn’t much around, it is cold, I did not like the food, I did not understand the language and did I mention it was very, very cold.  It took me about a year to really adapt and accept the fact that I was living in Germany.  In that year of adjustment I was not a very happy…
